The Bayelsa/ Port Harcourt based artist “J3phree” formerly known as “Jayce” is here with the embodiment of silky Afro-fusion, replete with smooth melodies and immersive sonics, this eponymous debut EP titled “HAPPY ENDING” sees J3phree pair the thrill of experiencing life with moments of struggling, love and happiness. Displaying his range across four engaging tracks featuring his kid brother “Emmynite”, Elder brother “Badboiree” and a childhood friend “Esawise”, he layers vocals over various sounds as the tropical inflections of “65 days summer” and “oh Yeah” deftly fuse with the Dancehall Amapiano of “Somebody” and the Afrobeats of “Goodbyes”.
